We will model how to plan a lesson using a bookroom book that is not in your Literacy Footprints kit including all the ingredients needed for a satisfying Guided Reading lesson: a thematic gist statement, a tantalizing book introduction, a pinch of word work, a dash of prompting, a dollop of strategy, and much more than a smidgen of comprehension work and writing. And of course we will provide home-made cookies.
